I feel like mosaic focused IPAs are becoming a rare breed after having good popularity a few years back and now it's used more as a supporting hop. I miss them. Anyone have any recommendations for widely distributed or locally distributed in New England mosaic focused beers?

    Lost Nation Mosaic .
...if they still do it . Haven't seen any of their beers for awhile. Guessing distributor issues?
Lawson's recent Super Session #8 , with Mosaic, was good. Probably still some out there. Always refrigerated (guessing that they insist), so it should still be good .

Pretty sure it's the second most common hop grown in North America. I don't know your market at all but we've got a mosaic ipa coming out of every brewery it seems like. Mosaic Promise was always a favorite of mine, from Founders. I don't know if they still make it though.

I think the Mosaic hop is blended more now. Used in a blend with citra, and Galaxy…etc. I think it’s used at a high rate but stands out less now.
Toppling Goliath still showcases this in Pompei and Sue Mo when they release that.

Dryft - Year Round Flagship IPA from Penrose Brewing in Geneva Illinois. Dryft is a bone dry, 6.3% celebration of dank mosaic. The most under appreciated west coast IPA made in Illinois

Founder's has a single hop mosaic IPA that's amazing. Usually in 15 pack cans in VA. Infinitely better than the centennial IPA they make. It's gross to me now

According to the below Founders 2022 release calendar Mosaic Promise IPA is no longer being produced.

But Centennial IPA is still on the list.

    Cheers!

I guess it didn't sell well for them?

But I always wondered how Founders was able to sell this beer so inexpensively (something like $15 - $18 for a 15-pack at my local beer retailers). Maybe this beer moved OK for Founders but it was too low of a profit product for them to continue producing it?

    Cheers!

Saranac Hoppy Hour Hero Moe.saic IPA (phew). Used to be I could find this whenever. Haven't seen it in years. Website shows still active.
That's when I fell in love with Mosaic. Then I find out everybody else did too.

It is not listed on the Saranac website:

    https://www.saranac.com/brews/

I suppose I really shouldn't be surprised but Saranac is producing a lot of non-beer products.

    Cheers!

Jack, I originally found it via the BA search feature, then selected the brewery, and looked at their lineup. Showed as "active", but admit I find that suspect. So I followed your link to their website, and did find it available, though not anywhere close. Broadened my scope to upstate NY, and..voila! A few sites around Syracuse. Which is where my cousin lives, so now I'll call in a few favors. I really liked this beer, kind of feel a nostalgia for a time, not that long ago when things were more plentiful.

Great Lakes still makes Chill Wave. It isn't all Mosaic but there's a lot in there. It's still available seasonally.
Favorite all-time Mosaic was Victory Hop Ranch Imperial IPA...oh the dankness! I can't find it in the stores anymore...so sad.

Chillwave, yes! On my yearly rotation list. Should be out relatively soon, and easy to find. If you like this, then Lake Erie Monster is your huckleberry. Comes out in the summer (?) but getting harder and harder to find.
