    Interesting article about ancient beer brewed by the Wari people in 600-1000AD in the area of modern day Perù.

    That's cool. Nice to see another brewery do something like that, since it seems that Dogfish Head has abandoned their Ancient Ales series of beers after the Boston Beer "merger".

    I looked up the Molle berries, I didn't realize that is what is sold commercially as "Pink Peppercorns". Even though the tree is not related to the plant that is commercially grown to produce black peppercorns.

    Combining archeology and the science of psychoactive substances is very interesting. The persuasive and mind control aspects of this particular substance are fascinating as relates to empire building and maintenance over time. Sounds like some pretty good shit.
    I had a religion professor who was a colleague of Timothy Leary who often described this facet of hallucinatory drugs and substances relative to cultures through time and worldwide.
