Last new beer for this weekend. The Camp from Fox Farm. Compliments of @Roy_Hobbs.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours very dark brown with a small amount of tan head. The nose is very smoke-forward. Old pipe tobacco, charred wood, coffee grounds, pepper spice, and roasted malts. Maybe a touch of plum. Lovely.

The taste is both bold and smooth. Smoky for sure, but a nice marriage with the malts. Chewing tobacco, black licorice, leather, burnt toffee, roasted malts, very dark chocolate, and a hint of dark fruits. The coffee note makes its way into the taste as well. Really nicely done.

Mouthfeel is light. Overall, a fantastic smoked lager.

Barrique - Wasioto, barrel-aged lagerbier. Gifted to me by the sophisticated, genteel, and well-educated @WunderLlama. Part of NBS BIF #14.

16oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. Dated 11/09/2021.

Pours crystal clear dark golden with a fairly large head that collapses to a half-millimeter skin, pretty uniform, moderately coarse. Lots of carbonation. Smell is grassy, lemony, and light.

Taste is actually pretty rich -- sweet, grainy, tons of lemon. Fair citrus zest bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is very light, very effervescent, very dry. Overall, very nice lager.

I came home from a family baby shower really wanting to cap off the night with a big heavy dark beer, but decided lighter and lower alcohol was a better idea, and this is a very pleasing result.

    Hello Late Night NB(S)W.
    Life is busy.
    Thank goodness there is beer.

    Double Daisy Cutter - Galaxy

16 oz can stamped 12/21/21 SHENANIGANS.
Fluffy off-white head caps a slightly murky orange. The head recedes to a milky ring and scattered cap. Pillowy clouds of lacing. Decent retention.
Nose abounds with peach initially, but almost instantly a dank weedy note pops and tapers back a bit for some onion.
Flavor begins with a melange of tropical and weedy notes. Mango, pineapple, papaya start off. Weed an onion kick in. Some herbal spice, some bread dough, hints of melon and wet grass. There's a lot going on for sure.
Mouthfeel is a tad fluffy, fairly full for style, smooth carbonation, sometimes a bit prickly and finishes with a mild, herbal bitterness.
Overall, I like this. I wanna give it a few more shots because there is so much going on.

Should be OK during most of the day.
The aroma is exuded from early evening through mid-morning, or until fog burns off . (here in fall). Guessing that they're pollinated by moths, &/or other nocturnal insects . (Bats?)
