    ... and that annoying Aussie bloke starts another WBAYDN thread!

    It's Saturday evening here. The final preseason game of the local footy league has been played and next week the real season starts. Today's game was South Barwon (my team) versus Warrnambool, which is a team about a 2.5 hour drive to the west of here on the Victorian coast.

    A day on my feet means it's time for a beer, and this one is courtesy once again of @TurkeysDrinkBeer. Three months and about 10,000km since brewing but the beer holds up perfectly. There's pineapple, peach, nectarine and vanilla and a proud, chest-puffing hit of booze at the back end. A really nice beer and a great way to end a beautiful autumn's day here in the land of Oz.

    I was going to put this on yesterday’s thread, but if this one stays alive.... my second Waldos’ of the evening. It’s my favorite beer in late March/April until the 21st...

    Penal? No, we're just happy to see you. Or is that just our stiff upper lip?

    Plus, believe it or not, we're all proud of being descended from convicts! Britain was such a crappy place we committed crimes just to make sure we could leave it... :grin:

    At some point I might stop yapping about Cloudwater. Not now, though. This my 200th Cloudwater review, so it’s fitting that it’s their 7th Birthday DIPA. And it is amazeballs.

    Watching Baseketball. I love this dumbass movie.

    Good morning Aussie bloke, you aren’t bothering us at all by the way, not me anyway.

    Kay, those couple of days spent on the coast came to an end this late morning. Less than two hours a drive and I am back in this living room.

    Page 24, a northern French brewery and their Blanche or witbier. They can be very much hits or misses as a style.

    This 330ml bottle, and its 4,9% ABV is in between. Nothing out of the ordinary like Chouffe Blanche (a real treat) but nothing deserving of a drain pour either. It’s okay, I’ll sip on it for a bit because driving made me thirsty.

    Vat No.7 from the Vild series by Brekeriet. This is a sour aged in a foeder for 4 years!
    Bottled in November 2021, but best before 2031. I think I’ll get another to forget in the cellar.

    The Elite Eight has been decided, and the "weak" ACC is dominating it with three teams proving themselves worthy. Where you at, Big Ten?? I guess the committee figured "strength" in numbers was the reason to allow in couple unworthy teams.

    And congrats to St Peter's - their run has been nuts, reminding me of the college just up the road here back in 2006.
