Did a small solo hike around the lake while GF and kids are still at the "kids club".

Now enjoying a beer and a snack in complete silence. 8) Cheers

Morning, BAs! Couldn't sleep; it's going to be an odd day. Already had my coffee; may as well have a beer.

Happy Sunday to all dear Advocates,
I'll put here the beer I drank last night before going out.
It's not a new beer for me, which is why I put it in this thread.

Birrificio L'Orso Verde (Busto Arsizio, Lombardia, ITA) - La 15 - Imperial Milk Chocolate Coffee Stout (9%)

    33 cl can
On the label: "Best before: 30/12/2022"
It's an Imperial Milk Chocolate Coffee Stout with lactose from this small brewery in northern Italy, of which I have not drunk much, but of what I drank I have good memories (like the Fever Ipa, a good fruity but nice bitter American Ipa on the the final).

On the nose immediately toasted and roasted notes.
Poured is black: intense and impenetrable.
Foam that I would have expected a little more abundant: soft and which soon reduces almost only to a superficial veil.
In the mouth full body, almost dense, softened by an almost creamy (silky) sensation.
The predominant taste is that of dark chocolate, with notes of espresso and toasted almonds.
I also feel a hint of licorice, which disappears as the beer rests in the glass and leaves ample room for dark chocolate and coffee.
Before a soft finish (dry and slightly toasted), I seem to hear a slight acid note, not a "sour" just a trifle acid.
I also feel a very light metallic / ferrous note, also without being a defect at all.
Nice balance achieved, I would have expected it to be sweeter, but it is very balanced and pleasant to drink.
I found it very satisfying, absolutely not as sweet as I thought, but very balanced, complex and complete.
Not a jumble of flavors, but a gustatory path in which many different hints emerge without overlapping.

Jasmine Rice Lager, a pilot system brew from August Schell Brewing.

Brilliant clarity, perfect shock-white head, and an incredibly floral and piquant nose.

Smooth, mild, slightly nutty, and rather a bit sweet! Plenty of hops put to good use with Magnum, Hersbrucker, and Saaz, so it’s not one dimensional. And although the rice used in the grain bill places it in the often maligned and catch-all “adjunct lager” category, it’s surely patterned after a classic Pils.

    Great small batch beer. Cheers!

Good day BAs! Thanks @belvedere86 for starting today's thread! Yep, alone and in silence is the best way to enjoy a beer! Although I'd probably be looking for turtles near that body of water - Emys orbicularis probably being the most likely species!
And to @Jack_14, your reviews make me want to return to Italy for a leisurely beer tour.

Today's New Breakfast Beer is another from the Empty Beer Reefer#1 project:

Having a wonderful day, finished a nice walk and I'm enjoying this incredible honey blended saison, one of my rare 5.0 overall beers.

Full review in New Beer Sunday #910. Funk, lemon, citrus, honey, hay, horse blanket, bursting with flavor, coming together wonderfully. Just an outstanding beer.

Speaking of outstanding, what a wonderful musical link @tolar111 !!! Loving the funky beginning, pairs perfectly with my beer.

I don't believe I've ever done this same day before, but I'm copying your song as I'm playing it at least thrice on my end. Love seeing and hearing Sheila E after all these years and her signature drumming.

Approaching the two year mark. Still delicious. The 30th and 35th anniversary beers from Bell's are some of my all time favorites. I'm not holding out much hope for the 40th...

    Cheers all!
