Looks like another warm and humid day here on the tundra of NW PA. The garden loves it and so do I! Today's "New" Breakfast Beer is one that's been gracefully aging for a decade or so. I finally decided to drink it after it resurfaced and caught my attention:



Still decent but then it was allegedly malt-forward when brewed so the age-weakened hops are purely secondary. Rating 3.87, rDev -0.8%.

already on a second pour, started this morning off with a lesson on : Things not to do! short version of events, i Serena Williams backhanded the first glassful across the room, glass bounced off the wall splattered everywhere imaginable as it tumbled to the floor, but surprisingly did not break. go figure.

the longer version is the biggest reason i enjoy slipping in an early pour is because i get to enjoy in peace. my short lived tennis volley was enough to get a : "What was that?!" out of the missus. fortunately i convinced her i knocked over her empty plant vase, then spent about 25 minutes scrubbing floorboards, walls, chair legs etc etc. i figure i have another 2-3 hrs before i wind up in jail, because inevitably i have missed a drop somewhere hidden.

Bottom line, there are certainly beers that don't deserve the Pole Position in terms of BA styles, but this one most certainly does. I hope each and every one of you get to enjoy this beer down the road, or purchase another if you have enjoyed this in the past.

Still savoring the first half, will come back later today to finish this off (it's 11% and 25.4 oz - getting too old (or perhaps just a bit wiser) to solo dome the bottle in one fell swoop).

Happy Sunday BA's! Hope everyone has an enjoyable day planned. Three hours of overtime complete then I ran up to cars and coffee. Heat index is only 93 but it feels sticky as hell, Fancy Papers to the rescue!

Another scorcher and humid as flock kinda day....I need to put some chores aside and go out on the lake for a swim before the afternoon t-storms pop up as forecasted....we will see

Rolling smoke in a light rain this morning. 2019 Uber Joe from 3 Sheeps is in the glass. Coffee has faded some but chocolate, vanilla, bourbon shine on this, and the mouthfeel is exquisite. Tasting amazing. Cheers, BAs!
