NBS BIF #16 Hints and Hauls: Sweet Sixteen - Teenage Lust Tastes Like Creamed Corn and Rolling Rock

I'm about the densest person I know, and I've figured this one out.

My target will receive beer.

At some point in this BIF, I will unashamedly lie through my teeth.

While I have been in my target's state, I have not drank beer while there. I have, however, had beer from their state.

While I have never slept overnight in my target's state, my grandfather did so for quite a lot of his youth.

I have only been on one battleship (at least in this country. I've been on a sailing battleship and an ironclad battleship, but both were in the UK). It was not in a harbor in the state it was named for. I've actually been on it several times, both when it was moored in reserve not far from a former sub sandwich shop that @Roguer used to work at, and more recently at its current location. Incidentally, although my state of current and long-time residence does not have a battleship named after it that has been preserved, the state I was born in once had a battleship as a memorial, until one day in the early 1940s when it did not. That battleship had something in common with a ship linked to my target.

I do not reside in the state I was born in. While they have not authoritatively said so, I think my target has that in common with me. This is a guess.

My state of residence is not one of the original 13 colonies. Neither is the state of residence of my target.

My target has reviewed or rated more beers than me.

When my grandfather, growing up in my target's state of residence, would periodically decide to run away from what was basically an evil stepmother situation, he'd hop a train. He first did this at age 9. Where was the train going? Same place where you find Revolution Brewing.

No president has hailed from my state. My target can say the same...at least since the end of the 19th century.

According to a highly unscientific survey done by asking Google, the most well-known person from my target state shares the same name as a badge on untapped.

Judges in my target's state really know how to party.

The NFL team I root for once spent a high draft pick on a player from near where my target resides. Bill Walsh was really high on that player. He was wrong to feel that way about him.

It ended okay, though, as a team much closer to my target traded a #1 pick for him. Someone in this BIF may still be upset about this, but I'm not sure it's my target, as he might not be a football fan, or he might be a Vikings fan based on previous residence elsewhere.

 

Pretty sure I'm out on this one... at least I understand this one unlike some of the other sportsball clues.

 

Oh no! Hope you feel better soon. I had a mild case after a beer trip up to Portland a couple months ago. The most annoying part was waiting to test negative on a rapid test even after the symptoms had gone away.

 

Guess it's time to work this out when I get home from work.
