Good morning to one and all, advocates

We got back from this lovely and yet chilly weekend on the northern coast of France.

So, now I am drinking 3 monts in its 500ml can and proper glassware.

    Cheers!

A song from a French artist dated from 1974, won’t translate all his lyrics but basically he sings about life, something about someone, not being afraid of cold or being being lonely anymore. Weirdo those frenchies, you know?

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting us off today! Been up an hour or so, a bit early for me these days, but it's late morning/early afternoon in Munich where I'll soon be. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Unusually average brew from Founders, but then the price point is unusually low. Still, some pineapple and mango shine through. Rating 3.52, rDev -7.1%.

    Stiil dark outside, so

    Or my personal favorite version

Today is my Sunday, so I might as well join you all with a new beer.

This beer pours pitch black from the can. The head is quite thick at 3 fingers. I had to take 2 attempts to pour the full contents into my glass. Head retention is decent and there's a nice bit of lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The aroma is fairly faint. I get a very faint whiff of chocolate and peanut butter.
The flavor starts out slightly roasted, when the chocolate kicks in. The peanut butter really kicks in on the back, and is more of a sweet peanut butter, while the chocolate does remain. The chocolate leans toward milk chocolate in this beer, There's a good deal of sweetness to this beer, but it's not over the top, and is pleasing.
Body is very creamy feeling and smooth. The sweetness from the chocolate and peanut butter does linger in my palate. Beer isn't thin at all.
This is quite tasty, and a pleasure to try.

Good day/morning advocates! Slept in again…coffee time - Guinness Foreign Extra Stout:

Roast bitterness. I’ve always liked this beer, even more when it’s on sale at the grocery store. Have a marvy Monday y’all, and Cheers!

Yeah, I know. I'm about 20% French/Swiss. A distant close relative (The Baron) was in Duke Frederick's court as a diplomat and apparently accrued several wives through the years.

You picked up a better half being about 10% Swiss.
Yeah well, of course one can have several wives over a lifetime, French or not.
Personally as far as marriage is concerned that’d be a one and done just crossing fingers that everything go well. Cheers!

Except The Baron had the wives at the same time. He left shortly thereafter at the behest of the fledgling American government to continue with his farm machinery inventions. It really is an amazing story.

Good morning, BAs! It's been a long time since I've had breakfast with the baby; I don't see FBS around here all that much, so I made sure to snag a four pack (I really need to buy a case, since it ages quite well over the course of a year). I suppose none of us will be having breakfast with the baby much longer, based on the new (horrible, IMO) label designs Founders has introduced. Oh well; anyway:

Bump In The Night - The Brewing Projekt - Eau Claire, WI - American Imperial Stout - 9.25% ABV

I picked this up yesterday, and am glad I did. It is interesting, but one a day is plenty.

Poured from a can this beer pours pitch black. No light comes through when held up to a light. It almost looked like a nitro pour when I poured it. The head and the beer were mixing well. I had to stop pouring half way through the can to let the 4 finger brown head dissipate some before pouring the rest. There's decent retention, and great lacing on the glass. It took 3 tries to get the can into my glass.
The aroma of this beer is somewhat creamy smelling. I do get a faint hint of coffee in the aroma, as well as some chocolate.
I am going to have a hard time putting all I'm getting in the flavor into words. I do get coffee, and chocolate. I get a creamy flavor up front. I get a pie like flavor in this beer, like a banana cream pie like flavor, from the cream used. I think I get a cherry flavor in here that hits right away. This beer is sweet and it's close to the edge where I do not like to go with sweetness. I know there's more, but I just cant put it into words.
    Thick creamy body. Full.
Very interesting and tasty beer. I think one in a day is enough though.

Decided to bougie up a class lunch while I'm at it. Hot dogs grilled in garlic salt, with cheddar, pickled red onions, Wickle relish, mustard, tomato catsup, and jalapeno hot sauce spread. :grinning:

    Cheers!
