When I was drinking That Hurt by Anchorage last night, I said this beer came to mind. So I had to open a bottle of it and do a comparison of the two.

Decided I wanted something before work today. With NA beers like this, I could easily quit drinking. It's also a crime in my book that I'm like 40% over the average rating on here.

    From a bottle:
Pours a nice dark and clear amber color. When held up to the light I see a decent amount of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. The head that forms is slightly off white, and fairly thick - 2 finger. Decent head retention and some pretty nice lacing on the glass.
Nose is malty, and somewhat one note - rye bread. This is what I get, and I get a lot of it.
Taste - is like the nose - rye bread. The rye really seems to have 2 phases to it: it starts out a bit mellow, then it really builds on the back. There's a slight earthy flavor that also shines through.
Lighter bodied, but not watery. Crisp and bubbly feeling.
Damn! I really like this beer. Very well made overall, and this is one I will be revisiting again, and again.

Good morning/day BAs! Early to bed, early to rise…finishing yesterday’s bottle - Burial’s “A Quite Ostentatious Testimony of Nonsequitur” imperial stout:

Bottled spring 2023. Poured at 52°. Corked and purged the beer held up fine overnight in my very cold ‘fridge. Still too sweet for me…

I’ll take my brother with me to visit our siblings in Huntington today. Hope to be back later…Cheers and have a great Sunday y’all!

Absolutely gorgeous DIPA from Verdant. For me the best in the UK at this style.

    Yeah,

N/A UA Ital Pils, once again, on a complete day off from the sauce.
Went out with friends last night, good to catch up, over a few beers.
Yesterday was a good day - 13 mile easy run, then did the incline, then ran down Barr Trail.

What's the Manitou Incline, you ask? (Even if you didn't). It's an old steep-ass cog rail section of trail that climbs like 2000 feet in less than a mile. It's a real butt-kicker, hadn't done it since I was in my late 30s and I felt every step. Up to 65% grade in a couple of spots (not a typo).
Then ran down the much gentler Barr Trail switchbacks down from there, back to Manitou, and it was great weather.

Hope your Sunday treats you well.... cheers!

The ones I had from them make me agree with you. Need to try some more from Cloudwater and DEYA (and Track) to make a final verdict. The brewers also seem to be very cool, which doesn't hurt.

Thanks @mschrei for starting. May I ask what vintage was your DFH 120?

Going out later. A smooth and easy Guinness Draught Stout works for me.
