I got together with the most bock-drinkingist, bock-drinker I know, last weekend, @cheeseheadinMinneapolis, and he is a generous guy, so I am going to have the most posts on this page. This beer is creative, but not very delicious.

Here is another delicious bock from @cheeseheadinMinneapolis. The Brewing Projekt Totally Not Evil. A doppelbock with honey. I really like this beer.

I was happy to find a 12 of Genesee Bock in my distro. Solid at the price point but rare due to distro payola posers.

LOL, of all the cans I gave you I figured this would be the one that would not go bad. It was stored in a fridge the whole time. the other 3 cans were good with no off flavors. Barrel aged Doppel bocks are hard to rate sometimes, but I would give this one about 3.91/5. Solid but not great. The Rum was little on the strong side. I have plenty of posts coming up in this thread in the next week.

Haven't seen that in 12 ounce cans before..I've enjoyed that beer in the past...curious how it would stack up in a blind taster....

Grabbed the Schloss Eggenberg/Schcilling collab Maibock earlier. Feels weird to be seeing it this late but glad to have snapped up some bottles. Excellent toasted white bread/biscuity malt with a honey sweetness but well balanced with a peppery, grassy finish.

Just recently got distro in NH of this old fave.

Does not disappoint. Great rainy day beer. Even in July.

This thread is fading. But thought I would throw a old power Bock in the near end.
Emancipator from Spilled Grain Brewhouse in Annandale, Minnesota.
Dopplebock. This one is good. One if the best bocks I drank this year.

    2017 750ml bottle. 6 years old. 9% abv. Gifted to by @Victory_Sabre1973

Look: brown slightly murky body. Dark amber body under the beer light. Plenty of beer light doesn't pass threw. A decent head for a old bottle. short but very persistent. Leaving some nice fine lacing.

Smell: very good. Smells like a non barrel age barley wine does at first. But as it warms up you get bread, spice, caramel and a hint of booze.

Taste: somewhat follows the nose. you get some stone washed dark fruit. Almost like a hint of cinnamon spice too.
It tastes good, some complexity there. Not overly sweet. Smooth.

Feel: good, not real thick or syrupy but not thin, Also has a soft & creamy feel.

I like this one. The bottle has held up very well. 4.22/5

I do not buy this enough. It has probably been a year since my last one. Thanks for the motivation!
