Help me curate the next BeerAdvocate box: Oktoberfest!

    As we wind down West Coast IPA Box sales, my focus shifts to curating the next one...

    ...Oktoberfest    !

    And I need your help!

    For this box, I'm looking...
    • for 12 beers (preferably in 16oz cans) from up to 12 small to mid-sized brewers from across the United States that don't widely distribute
    • to include both Märzens and Festbiers for a well-rounded box of festive lagers
    • to tie the box into our annual BeerAdvocate Oktoberfest Tasting thread (check out the 2021 thread and 2022 thread)
    I have my picks, but I'd love to hear yours!

    Bierstadt Lagerhaus (Denver) has produced an OKtoberfest. They also sell some beers in 16oz cans although I don't know about this beer.

    Also Red Oak Brewery in North Carolina and Millstream Brewing Co. in Iowa might be worth exploring. Both make some fine German-style beers.

    Finally, Wooly Pig Farm Brewery in Ohio is another option worth exploring.

    Bierstadt marzen is 16oz of fall greatness. I'd also like to add LA Cumbre marzen to the mix. It never disappoints.

    Daredevil out of Speedway, Indiana makes great lagers (including a Märzen and a Fest), uses 16oz cans and barely distributes out of the Indy area.

    Great idea for a box! Ones I’d be excited to try are: Industrial Arts Autumn Landscape, Mecktoberfest, Urban Chestnut, Schilling, Ramstein, Wooly Pig, Heater Allen.

    Sly Fox makes one of the best Oktoberfests around these parts. Of course, that will already be a staple in my fridge.

    Chuckanut (small distribution footprint)
    Heater Allen (regional distribution)

    If it's possible to expand this to Canadian breweries, I highly recommend Brauerei Fahr from Alberta. Very authentic and really good!

    Enegren and maybe the Bruery would also be great.
