Now from Argentina: Quilmes Clasica. Nice and light. Muted flaves but hits the spot. Redolent of Taj Mahal beer...if that rings a bell yet a wee bit more fruity. !!Salute!!

Reese and Desist Stout - Central Waters Brewing - 11.3% ABV

Damn strong stuff, but not over the top sweet.

    From a bottle:

Pitch black pour with a 2 finger tan head. The head dissipated rapidly, and left no lacing on the glass.
Nose is multi layered. I get lots of chocolate vanilla and peanut butter on the nose.
Taste - This is a boozy peanut butter cup. Lots of chocolate, vanilla and peanut butter in the flavor. There's also a smooth creamy undertone of lactose in this beer. This is sweet, but not overly so.
The body is very full, and creamy feeling. It doesn't have too much of a burn, but you know this is a heavy hitter.

SN Oktoberfest after a productive day of work. Short work week coming up, two more days and I'm off until 9/6. Looking forward to the time off!

Squeeze fresh lemons and mix it up really well. It won't clump like with water. Then add sweet tea and stir. You can do 5gs this way pretty easily.

Yeah it tastes like ass! Tincture is really where it's at imo.

Yeah, it's official, I just don't like Oktoberfests - I find them really boring to drink and one-dimensional. Every year I try a few to see if my opinion changes, but all it takes is a few to reaffirm my dislike of them. This year I've tried Ayinger, Weihenstephaner, and SN and I'm done with them. I still have a few of each to consume but once they're gone that will be it.

This is more in my wheelbarrow since I like IPAs.

Well, unlike @LarryV I love Oktoberfest beers (to each his own) this being the 60th Marzan I've rated on this site. Unfortunately this isn't a real good one. My favorite American style one from Great Lakes finally showed up this week and I have some chilling now.

I don't mean any disrespect to folks who enjoy them - it's just my personal preference. Every year I try to like them and every year I come to the same conclusion. :stuck_out_tongue: As you said - to each their own - drink what you like and enjoy! Cheers!

    G'day all!

I'm enjoying another Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier. So pale compared to the Spaten Ur and the Hacker-Pschorr. It doesn't mention it on the label; a Wiesn, isn't it?

    Prost!
