This beer is a true testament to mankind's arrogance. We took an already perfect pairing, chocolate and peanuts, and challenged ourselves to improve upon it further by doing what we do best: aging it in oak bourbon barrels. This smooth and creamy treat will satisfy anybody's sweet tooth!

Got this from GreenBayBA before Metalfest 2023 in my hotel room. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 2023. Got a thick ring of fat residue in the neck of the bottle. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy tan head with poor retention, that reduces to a minimal spotty lace cap. Minimal lacing and light streaming carbonation on the glass. Aromas are great with milk chocolate, cocoa, peanut butter, fudge, caramel, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, light coffee. Increasing booze in the aromas as it warms. Taste follows with big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, peanut butter, vanilla, cream, toffee, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak; light fudge, coffee, char, pepper, pine. Light-medium pine/roasted bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; good creamy/silky body from the lactose, light-medium chalky roast and bourbon/oak tannin drying lingering after the finish. Increasing warmth/booze of barrel and 11.3% after the finish. Outstanding all around complexity for a BBA imperial stout, not as bold on peanut butter flavor as I wanted, but loved the beer(and so did my wife). Great barrel presence, and only mildly sweeter with the flavorings. Always been a big fan of the base beer.

Appearance is on the thin side for an imperial stout, looking a bit clear and cola-like on the edges. Head production and retention are decent for the ABV and style.
Nose has a surprising sour edge to it. I don't know if that comes from the metallic note peanuts can have, or if it's from the particular barrels used, but it's not something I expected given the design of the beer.
Flavor delivers on the peanuts, chocolate, and vanilla. The sour note from the nose is nowhere to be found. The bourbon adds another level of sweetness, but nothing is over the top. It's an excellent combination of all these flavors into a dessert stout.
Body is indeed thin for the style and ABV, but it's not too thin, coming in on the edge between medium and full bodied.

12oz bottle from my brother. Ddark brown pour, opaque, thin cap of beige head. Sweet aroma, chocolate, malty, hint of peanut butter. taste is sweet and chocolaty, roasty, but peanut butter is still not enough to convince me this is a Reese's Cup. Not overly boozy either.

From a bottle:
Pitch black pour with a 2 finger tan head. The head dissipated rapidly, and left no lacing on the glass.
Nose is multi layered. I get lots of chocolate vanilla and peanut butter on the nose.
Taste - This is a boozy peanut butter cup. Lots of chocolate, vanilla and peanut butter in the flavor. There's also a smooth creamy undertone of lactose in this beer. This is sweet, but not overly so.
The body is very full, and creamy feeling. It doesn't have too much of a burn, but you know this is a heavy hitter.

this thing is fantastic! i love the name, but i love the beer too, so much less sugary than the rest of these, the peanut part seems less like that powdered peanut butter and more like a reeses which is cool, and the chocolate is silky and rich, this is really great. super bourbon forward in both aroma and flavor, vanilla from it, a caramel and toffee decadence, and a ton of sturdy oak, really impressive how well it seems to go with the peanut and chocolate, a wonderful trio. the pour is silky, viscous, shiny, and the darkest brown, with a surprisingly active head for something this strong and barrel aged. the aroma isnt boozy or sugary, its milk chocolate, dark cocoa, and good strong black coffee, warming and wintery, with some roasted peanut and peanut butter character right there too, some sweetness of brown sugar, and a light cola note before the oak kicks up. the flavor is awesome, a remarkable natural and robust peanut profile but it does taste like reeses too, more chocolate and coffee, lots of dark roasty malt, a tobacco and raisin middle, and wonderfully mature overall, charred wood and good whiskey through the finish, never all that alcoholic and it doesnt stay with me super long like a lot of these do, not diabetic, not forced in terms of proportion, really well done! this is awesome stuff, ive always loved their barrel aged beers and this is another heater!

2023 bottling; consumed on 6/22/2023
Pours a muddied, jet-brown body capped with multiple fingers of airy, sudsy, pale khaki foam; decent head retention leaves a nearly bare cap, slight, frothy collar, and the occasional strand of webby, soapy lacing strewn across the walls of the glass.
Aromas of silky chocolate are accented with a touch of confectioners sugar as notes of peanut shavings progress; an oaky splinter fades to subtle vanillins and minimal bourbon presence over time.
Taste brings bakers chocolate fading with dried oak and tinges of bourbon caramels, while peanut shavings over the mid-palate lead to distant metallic hints detracting from the steady dark cocoa lingering through the back end.
Mouthfeel offers a body on the lighter end of medium and a subtle carbonation; slick textures dry over the mid-palate, peaking with a wispy creaminess and minimal warmth into the back end of the palate.
Despite only mild peanut expression and minimal barrel imparted, an overall consistency carries this enjoyable, if light, semi-sweet stout.

12oz bottle. No dating information found.
Ruby brown colored body. Quick finishing head upon pouring, but maintains an active surface storm and very thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma is chocolate, with minor smells of peanuts. Provides a whiff of bourbon barrel.
Taste is a good mix of chocolate and peanuts, with some sweet vanilla from the bourbon barrel. Slight kick from the barrel at the very end. Drying into the aftertaste.
Thinner than medium mouth feel. The texture is smooth and creamy. Slight tongue sting but overall hides the higher ABV% well. Quiet carbonation.
Subtle, not real expressive, took some time to extract the components. Has a real peanut smell and flavor, not peanut butter.

Pours milk chocolate brown with a good sized head. Aroma is bourbon and chocolate. A hint of vanilla also reaches the nose. Taste is bourbon and chocolate. The brew is smooth and easy to drink. The ABV is well hidden. Before I knew it, the entire bottle was gone. I would drink this again in a heartbeat.
