Somehow the night’s slumber was intermittent yes reviving. A chilly extended weekend morning calls for some coffee and an Oktoberfest, this time Paulaner’s Märzen


A nice-sized spider (a fat, 1+ inch bigger) was eying my beer, so I headed back in to continue my attempt to read The Silmarillion.

 

Sorry to interrupt, I was there at the end of May.
I suppose it will be one of the first references you started with... but to avoid any doubts, I highly recommend you go to Mad House, the venue of the Mad Scientist craft brewery.
Since it is also known in Italy, it was my go-to drinking stop in the city center.

A rainy kind of day today(still?) in Casper. Could be a hell of a winter coming up.

This is a nice beer from Urban Chestnut. Plenty of cloves and banana with what I would call a fruity backbone.

Bottled 5/23/23. Poured at 55°. Bourbon/coffee-licious.

Sitting outside with the dogs. Lovely morning, 76°, the feels like is 80° with the humidity, cotton candy clouds, and an intermittent breeze. Can Fall be right around the corner?

I may stay home and work in the shed today, unearthing Halloween decorations. Maybe a beer run this afternoon as we reach the upper 80s again. Cheers and have a fun Friday y’all!

Happy Friday BA's! Laundry and other chores done, Went and got new passport photos, sending them in for renewal tomorrow. SN Oktoberfest for todays kickoff.....

 

Eichbaum Helles
5% alc, Mannheim Germany.
It's a good Helles, but not a GREAT Helles. It has a slight metallic aroma and taste when very cold and just poured, but fades mostly away as it sits a warms up a touch.
It was good to try, but there are far better options available.
