That's a band I revisit all the time. I saw them on the Clash of the Titans tour in 1991 and also caught them opening for Iggy Pop at a club in Austin right after Facelift came out.

Mad Hatchet Brewing Apple Cider Incognito Donut (A.C.I.D)

Hmmm
It's not pale.
It's not a Pale ale, no hops present.
It's not acidic.

It is a donut disguised as a cream, or red ale, though so I guess it is incognito.

 

I totally missed BA's Oktoberfest Tasting for this year, so I record my results here.
Bottom-line, almost nothing changed from the past three years. I'm totally predictable !

This year, I drank a total of 27 marzens/festbiers (last year was 28 and 29 in 2021, so I'm slowing down ... but still flatter myself that I'm aging gracefully.)

In 2022 I tasted 3 new fests and 3 new marzens, exactly the same in 2023.

And each year, my only two multiples were the same (Staghorn and Waddle, from my two favorite brewers.)

I think I'm carrying this tradition thing a bit too far.

A 3 1/2 hour drive under my belt so beer me Invasive Species’ “New Balance” a WC IPA DH with Nelson:



Looks great. Clean and crisp. Bitter lemon peel, but no pine. Tastes good but WC? Cheers from Fort Lauderdale FL!

Fellow Washingtonian BA @woemad made me aware of this beer yesterday—a fresh hop collaboration between Bale Breaker and Russian River, which sounded right up my alley—so I picked up a 4-pack last night. Enjoying my first can while I watch the Seahawks-Bengals game. This one delivers. Cheers! Go Hawks!
