Goldfinger Original Lager. This is my favorite regularly available lager in Chicago currently.

    1) Junkyard Uncle Chuck’s Czech (5.0%):
A Czech Pils from Minnesota with flavors of pale bread malts, biscuit, and lemon bread. Smooth and mildly sweet.
    versus
    2) Wabasha Czechin’ In (5.0%): A Czech Pils from Minnesota with flavors of bright lemon citrus, pale malts, crackers, yeast. Crisp, clean, and dry. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Junkyard Uncle Chuck's Czech:
Czech Pils Battle from Minnesota. First try at Wabasha Czechin' In. Decent aromas of flavors. Lemony and bright. Dryer and leans more German-style I think.
Revisiting Junkyard which didn't impress me much last year. This one is canned less than a month ago and much more impressive this time around. Strong buttery biscuit notes that I've come to expect in a Czech version. Mildly sweeter, and very enjoyable Czech Pils from Junkyard.

I think i will join @Shanex with a Quad today. This is from a local Asheville area brewer Zebulon in which their master brewer Mike Karnowski decided to create a holiday treat for the 2022 Christmas season as this is partially fermented with wild yeast and aged with cherries in Wild Turkey barrels. It was a solid beer, very wild cherry'ish. Would love to see how the base beer would be @Resistance88

@ATL6245 , great beer choices for a mindless web seminar...we still need to make it down to Good Word and maybe meet up with you!

    Cheers!

Today was 3 mile walk $2 pints Tuesday in these parts. Iowa brewed beers today. Exile Forage Nut Brown Ale, absolutely delicious. Right up there with Cigar City Maduro for me. Then on to Back Pocket Blood Orange Hazy IPA. Cheers!

Zebulon is one of the best "boutique " breweries on this planet.
I'll pop open my Vanilla Circa 1860s RIS this week. Can't wait.
I almost regret passing on this beer...ALMOST

Haven't had a Six Point beer in a while. Remember that I used to like their tall skinny cans.

Short 7 hour work day so I mowed, weed eater, and blew everything off . It's Jai Alai time with my current read The Power of Awareness by Dan Schilling. Dan was the USAF Combat Controller for task force ranger in the battle of Mogadishu.
