    Greetings all!

Cool and wet morning slowly clearing to a sunny and mild afternoon and Sunday. A brunch along and later today we’re going for a walk somewhere…

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting us off. Typical fall day here - drizzling and cool (40F/4C) - just miserable.

A fitting morning for my New Breakfast Beer:

Sour, something I didn't expect in an impy stout. Considering drain pour. Rating 3.7, rDev 0% (First review from current batch)

Good morning, all! Feels like winter is closing in on the Cedar Valley. It's a brisk 35°, but it's still Oktober and I still have a bunch of Oktoberfest biers that require my attention. This is Rhinegeist Franz, in a Goebel German Stein. Prost!

Good morning BAs! Some chores done, it’s coffee time - Jackie O’s “Bound By Dust” an imperial stout aged in high-rye bourbon barrels for 16 months:

No bottled date, but believed to be late summer/early fall 2022. Purchased at the brewery June 2023. Poured at 57°. Bourbon, chocolate, heat from 13.3%. Quite tasty. Working on notes for NBW.

Cheers and have a great day y’all!

A lovely Sunday morning after an unexpected college football win against a long-time foe ("the south's oldest rivalry") that was ranked an order of magnitude higher than your school. So yes, @jvgoor3786 - an exclamation was heard throughout the house when the final interception was recorded last night. Assuming last night's unlikely result isn't a dramatic shift in the trajectory of our season to be repeated every game for the next 5 weeks, I ask for only one more specific win in the last game this season - all others are gravy.

Morning celebration (lowercase - not SN's fresh hop brew):

Still have a couple of Double DBAs left, though they seem to be losing their punch a little. They are mellowing nicely, though, with a little more cigar tobacco where there was once bourbon.

    G'day all!

Nice Autumn morning here in Casper.

This beer...French Toast Bastard...is hitting all the right notes. It helps that I love french
toast for a side in my breakfast.

    Prost!

Happy Belated Birthday to the several celebrations mentioned the past two days. Back with another one from Massachusetts, and it's very enjoyable.

Full review in the New Beer Sunday #974 thread. This is similar to the offering from yesterday. Great mouthfeel, a little stronger, nice balance but sweet overall, nice collaboration.

Hope you enjoy your beer and day today. If I'm ambitious, I'll return with a few from beyond my home.

Happy Sunday BA's! Slept in til 0730 today, load of towels washed, 3.5 mile walk complete in the 60 degree air. I'm enjoying this Funky Buddha Maple Bacon coffee porter while watching the pool cleaner do it's job. We're headed to a high of about 86 today so a jump into the 72 degree pool may happen.

While I don't have a dog in this particular hunt, congratulations on your school's victory! I don't follow the sport closely these days, and don't like the insatiable greed which has led to the conference realignments over the past three plus decades, I do appreciate and hope as many of the century old rivalries can continue throughout this decade.

100 plus game CFB rivalries which can flip over the next recruiting class:
(within 4 games) - Schools listed alphabetical in the event of a tied series (sorry Micah / Dan)
    1. Capital Cup 64 Richmond vs. 64 William & Mary 5 Ties (Next Game 11/18/23)
    2. Paul Bunyan's Axe 62 Minnesota vs. 62 Wisconsin 8 Ties (11/25/23)
    3. Victory Bell 60 Cincinnati vs. 60 Miami, Ohio 7 Ties (2024)
    4. Border War 57 Missouri vs. 54 Kansas 9 Ties (None Scheduled :slight_frown:)
    5. South Dakota Showdown 56 South Dakota State vs. 54 South Dakota 7 Ties (10/28/23)
    6. Land of Lincoln 57 Illinois vs. 54 Northwestern 5 Ties (11/25/23)
