    1) Hop Butcher The Jewels (7.5% canned 8/15/23): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic and Vic Secret for flavors of milky pineapple, dusky, green melon. Smooth.
    versus
    2) Phase Three Tonal Range (8.0% canned 10/17/23): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic, Citra, and Sabro for flavors of grapefruit citrus, pineapple zest, some floral and pine notes with a bite. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Hop Butcher The Jewels:
Chicago NEIPA Battle. First try at Phase Three Tonal Range. Some standard Citra, Mosaic, with the addition of Sabro. Pretty classic flavors with the addition of some sticky pineapple. Not getting much Coconut so the Sabro is fairly subtle. I often think that IPAs take about 3 weeks before they hit their prime for the flavors ot mature. It's under two weeks fresh, so the flavors should evolve a bit over the next few weeks. It could be very good.
Hop Butcher Sunday I call it. This one focuses on Mosaic with some grapefruit, creamy pineapple, and green melon. Hop Butcher can defy the rules of NEIPAs and drink incredibly well still being many months out. Always a blessing to finish out the week with some Hop Butcher and NFL Football.

Well - it looks like he was active a bit over an hour ago so it just appears he's not posting on WBAYDN for some reason.

I am showing he was last seen 1 hour and 22 minutes ago. I'm sure Mike is well. We all need breaks here and there.

Sam Adams Jack-O. This is like drinking a cinnamon cookie. Trying to see if the Eagles can hold off the Commanders. Cheers!

Wow this is good. Mass Riot from Prison City Brewing out of Auburn NY. Too burned out to give it a full text review but I did a quick and dirty rating that came out as a 4.35 overall, one of my first zero rDev.

Happy Sunday BAs! The other half is out for the afternoon, so I've got the house to myself for once. She said I needed to clean the basement... well, my beer cellar is in the basement, so I'd better start cleaning (one bottle at a time). Enjoying the peace and quiet with a bottle of Abt 12. Cheers!

I used to frequent an English pub in Delray Beach that had this on cask on a regular basis. Just found this at my local Whole Foods at only a month old. Great English brew and a fun trip down memory lane. Hope all are having a nice Sunday. Cheers!

Good Sunday afternoon, VB patrons. I had a family obligation down the shore yesterday and it was a glorious day, weather-wise. Today, not so much; late October temps with a cold drizzle. But the beer is great! Thunder Road is a DIPA collaboration between Autodidact Beer and Oakflower Brewing Co. A New Zealand-style IPA hopped with Nectaron and Wai-iti. And it's delish. Peach, apricot, pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, lime, and mandarin orange. I just reviewed it on the NBW thread. Cheers!
