Hi everyone, I’m new here! I joined to keep track of beers I drink and maybe learn more about beer, tasting etc and get new reccs when I started drinking I liked ipas but now I’m more of a stout/porter girl. The only beer I’ve logged so far is cookie death which I had at a bar in Seattle during the Super Bowl. Bit about me: I live in Chicago, looking forward to f1 starting up soon, travel pretty often and I’m getting my first cat, a ragdoll, in April

Want to wish you a warm welcome @violishh Several great recommendations provided already in terms of finding great resources and places to discuss beer in general and our Great Lakes forum in particular for current beers and events in our area. I've found other forums are also very friendly sharing suggestions for breweries and beer bars for my trip planning. Do you have any favorite local stouts/porters or breweries? We are fortunate to have some of the best in these styles available either from local brewers or distributed from much of the US plus a few from overseas. Cheers!
Hi @violishh, and welcome to the BA site. I can't add anything to what has been said already above other than to be sure to take the time to explore the site to discover all the features found here. I'll also second the recommendation to join the Society because of its best benefit - no ads. You and @John_M have caused me to learn something about cats. I've never heard of a ragdoll, and I always thought a Maine **** was a type of hound. I'll have to join CatAdvocate.com and learn a few things. (We like to have fun around here, so join in the forums too whenever you can.)
Welcome. You live in a great city to be a stout fan. I’d lobby for a back room cot if I ever made it to Revolution Brewery. I’d live on their beer and Garrett’s popcorn
