What beer are you drinking now? #4145

Thanks for opening the door to the virtual bar this morning, @Shanex. Junior is making his professional music debut today playing organ for two masses at our church (MrsSchrei is playing the other three masses this weekend). I’m up getting things ready for the breakfast get together we’re having after he finishes.

Wanted to post a rock song with great organ playing in it. It was either this or the version of “In A Gadda-Da-Vida” from the Simpsons.

 

Hope all goes well with your son's debut performance. So many great tunes to choose from. Will provide these two while pondering which two Led Zeppelin songs to offer up with my Bourbon County which is still warming from my refrigerator pull.

Full review in the New Beer Sunday #992 thread. Long story short, I prefer the OG and Barrel only treatment, and while I miss the base flavor, this fruit and bourbon medley 40 minutes in is very enjoyable, a nice occasional change of pace and a great breakfast offering which I'll now pair with an everything bagel now that my review is final.

Good day BAs! Thanx @Shanex for getting us started! Looks like another sunny day - currently 28F/-2C but supposed to become oppressively hot at 45F/7C later. Thus far this winter the only time I ran my snowblower was to run it from my backyard shed into the garage. @mschrei - my selection of the organ:

I remember the next year when I returned to Frankenmuth (to work the "World Expo of Beer 2016") the remaining bottles had gone up ten bucks - who in their right mind would pay $15 for a liter of Russian Imperial Stout?

Final impression and summation: 3.75 Pretty straight-forward aroma and taste – bitter chocolate. No complex alcohols, coffee, or dark fruit flavors, although I do detect a hint of tobacco. Still, for Frankenmuth Brewery back in the day, this was a pretty impressive brew.
