Happy NBS one and all! Oh, and happy St Patrick’s day too.

My dinner beer with the cabbage and corned beef and potatoes. Quite surprised that I haven’t reviewed it yet.
The pour was done in haste and it proved to be a bad idea, at least from the perspective of getting the entire 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Still, looks good.
The taste was solid stout- mellow coffee and chocolate with some charred malts bitterness that provided an edge without marring the flavor. Quite nice actually, I could drink these in quantity. Good fireside beer!
Cheers, back in a few with my nightcap.

My nightcap was sent to me by @micada in a trade, and it wasn’t what I expected.

For a RIS this is too smooth, too sweet and doesn't have enough char. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed it as an imperial stout.
Poured stout black with an impressive light brown head that left impressive sheets of lacing. Nice.
Aroma is lost on my Covid damaged nose.
The taste is too smooth to be a "proper" RIS, but other than that bitter char it's full of very good flavors of dark chocolate and well brewed coffee. A little molasses and dark fruits. Really good stuff.
The feel is lightly viscous which encouraged a slow sipping experience, matched the mouth filling flavors nicely.
OA, seriously good Imperial Stout. I'd gladly drink it again.
    Cheers all!

Arizona Wilderness - March for Orange IPA

16oz can served in a biggish tumbler. No date on the can. Bought it at the downtown location last night.

Pours a murky whitish-orange with a small head. Moderate carbonation. Smell is juicy, orange julius, and orange pith.

Taste is definitely strong on the citrus juice, but also has some rind bitterness. Lacking something, gives it a hollow, almost watery sense.

Similarly, mouthfeel is light, smooth, a bit too thin. Overall, it's not bad.

Pretty to style. Nice head, good retention, clumpy lacing.
Nose abounds with green grass, and GREEN grass (ahem-weed), some sappy pine resin, and hints of gentle citrus.
Flavor follows. I think I'm getting the munchies.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium, decent carb, and slightly dry on the finish.
    Solid!

Good to have you back in here. It's been a while if I'm not mistaken.
