This crisp, dry, and aromatic IPA was brewed in collaboration with our friends at Wayfinder Beer out of Portland, who share the same outlook on the February grey we know too well— the never ending, constant, oppressive, depressing grey. So we thought we’d shift our focus and make a super awesome IPA to enjoy during bleak winter months! A hefty ABV balanced against a dank, fruity aroma with a crisp finish—designed to be an easy drinker when it’s just, well, all grey everywhere.
Tasting Notes: Mango, dank cannabis, fresh mandarin oranges

16 oz cans canned 10/1/25 into a nonic pint glass & a Becher.
L: Pours a lightly straw honey gold color with medium steady carbo, a 1/4" domed white head that has very good retention, medium-heavy 3/4 circumference lacing.
S: Grapefruit, light lemon, caramelized malts.
T: Lightly sweet and tangy citrus, mandarin orange, a hint of stone fruit, citrus zest, light pine/spruce resin, yellow fruit bread, light mango, distant yeast, bitterness lingers in a bittersweet finish.
F: Very brisk to crisp medium-light bodied smooth mouthfeel with a medium-long medium-dry finish.
O: A very nice mellow WCIPA. Quite easy to quaff at 7%. Not much fruit twang or intensity to the tastes overall yet it is extremely well balanced and savory. The drink feels soothing and finishes dry on the tongue.
**Counter to the brewery site's tasting notes, I find no trace at all of dank cannabis nor do I find any dankness phenols. Nonetheless the beer is excellent in its style.

Another tasty west coast ipa from Fair State. This one comes off a little earthier and rustic—a winter seasonal of a WCIPA, if you will—with more of a citrus pith and pine sap hop character. Softly rounded with a light bitterness.

smels super malty. TASTES like an amateurish malt bomb from an inexperienced brewer decade ago.... cool label, though! that's what really counts! regret.

Pretty to style. Nice head, good retention, clumpy lacing.
Nose abounds with green grass, and GREEN grass (ahem-weed), some sappy pine resin, and hints of gentle citrus.
Flavor follows. I think I'm getting the munchies.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium, decent carb, and slightly dry on the finish.
Solid!
