I wasn't sold on this when I brought it home but, my oh my, is it smelling and tasting devine (note to self...) in this glass. I'm wondering if it sitting in the fridge for a month helped out any...

Born on October 10th 2022. I reckon that I appreciate the aging because it is still an arse kicker. Loads of cocoa, milk chocolate, nutty. a non intrusive amount of barrel character and such a creamy mouthfeel. Thanks, Bryan @GoodTimesOakland !

From a 12oz can, no date on the can.

Murky golden pouring beer. The head that forms is 2 finger and slightly off white. The head retention is poor, and no lacing on the glass.
Aroma is a beautiful tart raspberry smell. Hints of funk show up here.
Taste - the flavor is raspberry in nature. The raspberry starts out sweet and fresh. The raspberry on the back turns wild, funky and tart.
Crisp, refreshing body. Decent fullness.
Tasty and refreshing on a hot day.

 

Hello beer lovers! Another perfect day for bev's. My lawn needs chopping and I have all damn day so that's my plan. Rescue the fescue. And to hold my hand up the hill: Astra Urtyp Taschenfass, which I believe translates to "pocket barrel". It has a very nice pastry dough malt expression.
Also got a new patio table & chairs. Grey cushions are in the garage due to light rain this AM. Cheers!
