Forecast to hit 90℉ this afternoon in central NH. I'm hunkered down for the remainder of today!

Thankful for all the various machineries currently keeping my home's environment super comfy.

1) Rothaus Tannenzapfle (5.1%): A German Pilsner with flavors of leafy Noble hops, earthy Munich malts. Smooth, bready finish.
versus
2) Ayinger Pilsner (5.3%): A German Pilsner with flavors of earthy and floral hops, yeast, smooth bread malt. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

Winner:
1) Rothaus Tannenzapfle Pils: A German Pils Battle today. First is Rothaus. I have been enjoying this one this year. It's smooth, nice floral, citrus, and hints of honey flavors off the end. Very smooth.
Next is Ayinger. Haven't tried this in a while. Similar, but a bit more yeasty and dry. Not quite as flavoful, which is opposite to my review of these two I did last year.
This time I think Rothaus has more flavor. Freshness may also play a role because last year I remember I was drinking near expired Rothaus Pilsners because it wasn't easy to find fresh. I'll probably revisit this battle again sometime soon.

I believe @tekstr1der exclaimed not too long ago that he hadn't seen pony beers in a while. Well, I knew it wouldn't take me long to find some up here in the US corn belt. Cheers BAs! Enjoy your beers!!

 

Much better weather today, drinking this fine Minnesota Amber Ale from Bent Paddle.

 

1) Toppling Goliath Haze Cadet (7.8% canned 4/15/24): A NEIPA from Iowa (collab with Boulevard in KC) with Citra and Strata for flavors of orange, blood orange, tropical OJ, papaya, and mango.
versus
2) Drekker Evil Natured Robots (8.0% canned 4/23/24): A NEIPA from North Dakota brewed with Mosaic & NZH-107 hops for flavors of orange citrus, green pineapple, guava, coconut, and lime. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

A battle of couple of favorite IPAs of recently. Toppling Goliath vs. Drekker and putting them up side-by-side. First is Toppling Goliath Haze Cadet. Citra and Strata. Some nice citrus with a bit of dank pine and grapefruit notes. It's zesty, yet flavorful and I'm really liking this collab with Boulevard.
Next is Drekker Evil Natured Robots. Mosaic plus some of that NZH-107. All the wonderful tropical Mosaic notes, but with the addition of that NZH-107 to brighten it up, which I really like in this one. At first I thought Toppling Goliath was better here, but there's something I really like in this Drekker IPA so think I'll give this the win. This could be one of the best I've had from Drekker.
