375 mL bottle from the LCBO; dated 2021-05-04 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy golden-blonde colour; a deliberately rough pour produced nearly an inch of bubbly, soapy white head that stuck around for three or four minutes. A sudsy cap and frothy collar remain behind, along with a tight ring of lacing - looks fine to me. Moderately funky aroma: hints of leather and oak, together with a firm pineapple juiciness; I'm also getting hints of bubble gum, apple skins, as well as some vinous and floral qualities. A pleasure to sniff as-is, but a little more 'oomph' from the pineapple would've been fantastic.
This is a delightful sour - the pineapple provides a sweet, juicy focal point for the taste buds, but there's lots going on underneath, as well. There's lemon, apple, sour peach, oak wood and a modest hint of leathery funk; suggestions of white grape and floral hops towards the finish, which is quite sour with a bit of a cider vinegar punch. Hints of oak, stone fruit and vinegar funk linger into the aftertaste, but that pineapple outlasts all of it. Medium in body, with moderately low carbonation that limply agitates the palate; feels smooth and wet on the tongue, without a lot of bite to it. Worth taking your time with, to admire the details and nuances.
Final Grade: 4.16, an A-. I have yet to be disappointed by anything from Small Pony - and while Tropical Apocalypse isn't necessarily my favourite brew of theirs so far, it's still an outstanding brew that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to any and all BAs with an appreciation for sours. The pineapple is a big player in this beer's aroma/flavour profile, but the underlying blend of funky, oaky golden ales is just as much of a driving force - complex and delicious from start to finish. I don't remember what I paid for this, but it was absolutely worth it.

De Labirratorium. En copa Teku. Jugando a God of War 3 Remastered y a Carro. Si bien la acidez es algo elevada y hace que se beba lenta, el intenso sabor a piña es de lo más natural que he probado y anima a seguir bebiendola. Además, resulta bastante muy refrescante
