Viva de Revolution! Good way to start any weekend! Not in favor of guillotine - my personal preference is meat hooks on the wall. Thanks @Shanex for getting us started many hours ago - damn, time passes - too bad more politicians don't.

Damn, this is good!
Final Impression and summation: 4.5 The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Although every aspect of this brew is good, they synergize into a great drink, much more than just another BBA coffee stout. The ethanol is craftly hidden. A bit pricey, but well worth it!

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, cause I was out doing my music thing.

First at Axelrad, which is a music beer bar set up. It was Noche de Cumbia which is Central/South American dance music festival.

Hanging out with a Great Heights South Island Pale Ale before the music starts.


Then this funky dancable band that I didn't get the name of, but was pretty good.

 

A brewery down the block, Under The Radar. I haven't been here in years and forgot it was still open ha. A very average Saison, with a review over at the NBW thread.



Though, that led me to the nights main attraction. Seeing Billy Harper at the Eldorado Ballroom. One of Houston's legendary jazz musicians. He is 80 years young, playing in a near 80 year old ballroom that has hosted Count Basie and Ray Charles, just to name a few.





I'll be playing more of him and other Houston jazz greats later on today

I am not a fan of vanilla in this style but overall a pretty solid Berliner Weisse.
