Beers that still got “it”

My dad still had some in his fridge so I cracked one open when we were visiting. I’m not gonna say it was as good as back in November but it was surprisingly close.

 

Hop Devil gets my vote, along with many others but I don’t want to get carried away

I'll say SN Torpedo, and Dales pale ale, Two solid "go too's" for me. Always fresh, and tasty!

 

Schlitz had it, then lost it, but has it back again. It taste a lot like all the big American beers tasted back in the 50`s,60`s and 70`s. I buy it now and then. But I can only get it in Bottles.

Two Hearted was also what I was thinking when I saw the thread title. It has a consistent feel to it with the right amount of bite. The same goes for Torpedo. There are some local beers that have a nice consistent mouthfeel like Gingerbread Stout from Hardywood. It always has a nice full texture.

 

Watching Boogie Nights in high school after growing up with the Transformers movie really screwed me up.

 

Hopslam, Celebration, and some will but BCBS.

I’m assuming this conversation is mostly for American Craft, but I also have found that essentially all Belgian beers I drink are as good as ever.

 

Cigar City Jai Alai relatively fresh still a go to.

 

Duvel has still got it.

 

Pilsner Urquell and Pivo still work for me.

 

They may not be distributed across the entire country, but I think all of Lakefront Brewery beers still have it. Their Eastside Dark is as good as it was back in 1987, and same goes for it`s Riverwest Stein. I know 1987 doesn`t make it a real old brewery.
