I just had this for the first time in PDX a couple weeks ago. Fantastic. I'll happen to be dropping by the brewery in two weeks. Gonna stock up. Cheers.

 

Been drinking better beer for well over 20 years now. First time I bought a pack of Arrogant Bastard. Just had a random craving.

Right along here ba. Power of one, iipa, sand city. Features galazy and Nelson hops. Nice stuff,

One more share before heading out into the heat, Swamp Head Brewing Double Big Nose DIPA.

 

Abita Turbodog brown ale

 

1) Humble Forager Pinseeker Pils (4.2%): A German Pilsner from Wisconsin with flavors of citrusflower, pale malts, yeast. Bitter and clean.
versus
2) Steel Toe Split Point (5.5%): A German Pils from Minnesota with flavors of lemon citrus, smooth bread malts. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

Winner: Humble Forager Pinseeker Pils
German Pils Battle. First is Humble Forager Pinseeker. Excellent floral notes, yeast, and clean and bitter.
Next is Steel Toe. A bit larger and more lemon and malt flavored. Not quite as clean or bitter.
Steel Toe impressed me initially but not as much on subsequent reviews. I think Humble Forager makes an excellent German Pils here.

 

Bolleke, a fine Belgian ale from De Koninck. This would be very enjoyable on a crisp fall day.

Happy Wednesday BAs! It's a beautiful sunny day and I'm currently enjoying a Point Break Blueberry Wheat from Point Brewing Company. As soon as I cracked open the can, an aroma of blueberry muffins filled the air. Pretty nice stuff. Cheers!
