Next up is a witbier brewed at the Pannonhalmi monastery here in Hungary. Not too bad, though kinda sweet for my taste.

    Not my thing.

Amstel Bock is way better. The sugar-caramel addition is not for me. But well they took time to mature the beer to taste like raisins/sultanas.
    Not for me.
Yet, Grolsch in general is doing quite well recently after some diffcult years.

    Trying the Brand Autumn Bock.
Well, colour says already it cannot be too good
    [IMG]

Better than Grolsch. Drinkeable. But Amstel still rules.

In past years this has been one of my favorite (American) Oktoberfest beers. Great Lakes has been #1 in my book, this year Left Hand seems to be missing something. Still good.

Happy Monday BAs! Few things in life are more terrifying than an Angry Redhead, but this Irish red from Black Gold Brewery is still worth a try. Cheers!

    Very good stuff.
It needs a closer comparison with the Amstel.
Will try to arrange a shoot out soon:

Dorothy was right, no place like home. Montana was beautiful, had a chance to see my baby sister and her son, did a little fly-fishing, didn't catch any flys, but got a couple trout. Glaciers are mostly gone from the "highway to the sun". Poo happens, as they say.

Great Heights finally released their Oktoberfest. This is one local release I always look forward to. It was delayed because of the hurricane we had a couple of months ago, they had to dump their entire batch, and make it again. Which sucks, but it is actually released on time now, without seasonal creep ha.

Then on up the road, to Ploughman's Deli. Which is one of the best sandwich shops in Houston. Reuben and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in the glass. Always $15 for a beer and Reuben, and at this quality is a steal.

If I don't take a nap after this..tunes coming up ha.

Day off today spent doing some chores, relaxing, and happily a bit of exercise after my back locked up yesterday. Luna overseeing this pour of Free Will - Techno IPA courtesy of my girl propping her up. She insisted :smirk::beer: Cheers!
