Anyone know how BA Karma works?

The first rule of Beer Karma is "Don't talk about Beer Karma."

I think that to reach the next level after 3000 beers and 300 places you have to donate 3 beers to the 3rd person who replies to your post. Don't quote me on that though.

My karma has dropped and grown several times over the years. Don't worry about it. Do what you do, and folks will recognize you, for better or worse.

 

Dropped? Didn't know what could happen. Is there a pill for that?

 

There's probably an ancient herbal, medicinal beer for that. Tick that and you're points might re-up.
I dunno, there have been a few times where the beer karma system has been changed up, and for whatever reason, my karma has dropped by a thousand or so points. Don't ask questions, just do what you're doing.

 

I miss the mystery… now that there’s a logical explanation for everything I watch the count when I get closer to milestones.

 

My karma feels inadequate. I think I’ll go have a beer.

It’s actually based on real world beers consumed. BA uses the latest in AI/ML, LLMs and quantum computing to track you in the real world.

Clearly you’re just ticking and not actually drinking the beers, or it would be higher.

There is one little feature I kinda miss from the previous karma points system and that's the random point(s) that admin or mods could give to an active member for being a positive driving force in our BA community.

 

When I first joined I understood that the system could randomly generate a K pt but I thought that mods had the autho and or discretion to randomly key that as well. Probably just my imagination.
