Very chilly November morning. Drinking the best in my fridge first. Amazing stuff. Cheers all.

 

Any beer following the first would have its hands full, so I said why not this classic.

 

Good day BAs! Thanks @chrisiswhothisis for opening the bar today! Today's New Breakfast Beer is the last of the Prairie Artisan brews I picked up at Spec's (DeZavala) earlier in the week:



Final impression and summation: 3.25 Almost average brew at a premium price. At least there is no flotsam to strain through my teeth. Thin-bodied for an Imperial stout, but at least this has some spiciness and hints of the barrel aging.

Your Guinness West Indies selection @Shanex would be the type of beer I'd make a trip to Guinness Chicago to enjoy, but all we get here beyond the "craft" they brew onsite is the keg Draught and the two bottles widely distributed (Extra Stout and Foreign Extra Stout). A missed opportunity IMO, and why I don't go there often.

No rain or snow predicted for today, temps in the 40s, yet I chose this 12.3%abv BA Imperial Stout from Fifty Fifty. I may not be a fan of Frey Bourbon but this is a good drop.
