Yesterday was the "TipoPils Day 2025".
Here are my short reviews of the two celebratory variants of the most famous, exported and sold Italian CRAFT beer in the world, the TipoPils by Birrificio Italiano:

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for opening the bar! And @Jack_14, maybe someday Tipo Pils will show up in the hinterlands of NW Pennsylvania - until then, the only example of Italian beer is Peroni.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Expedition Stout - Bourbon Barrel-Aged Raspberry and Vanilla from Bells. Received from @Whyteboar in Barleywine and Stout BIF #2. 12 fl oz bottle. Received 26/02/25, reviewed 14/03/25 (Review 3471). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 A decent imperial stout. The predominant flavor is raspberry. I think this could be better classified as an American Imperial Stout since, to my taste buds, it lacks coffee, roasted malt flavors, and the bitterness of a RIS. Raspberry dominates all aspects of this brew.

Rating 4.15, rDev +1.5%

 

A worse example would be difficult to find.
Industry stuff.
I hope the situation can change.
This celebratory Helles with only Slovenian hops was fantastic, never mind beers made with corn...

 

Yep... Served bottled at "Italian" restaurants.

It's raining right now and supposed to change to snow later this morning.

I'm sipping on an Imperial IPA from Odell. It is good but I reckon that my big love for Imperial/Double IPAs has diminished greatly over the years. This particular one has NEIPA attributes to me and that doesn't fly very well.

Plain old Leffe Blonde. But this is now kept cold during transport and in the shop. Good idea in my opinion.
