Sad news, I’ve read a lot of beer stuff over the years, Martyn and his pal Ron Pattinson are the two best ever. I know Michael Jackson got the beer writter ball rolling, but those two guys publish the most interesting beer info that I’ve ever come across.
Martyn only wrote for BeerAdvocate magazine once, but I've very much enjoyed his work over the years. Here's his feature from issue #110 (March 2016): Finding Mr. Fuggle: The Largely Mysterious History of England’s Two Greatest Hop Varieties He'll be missed by many. RIP.
