Adding a contract-brewed beer

    I tried a couple NA beers from Beaglepuss and want to post reviews. They contract brew through Wachusett. I don't see the brewery listed and want to add them. However, I can't add the brewery without putting in their address, which I can't find. Is there a work around?

    So I should add the Beaglepuss beers under Wachusett since they're contract brewed there? Is that the norm for contract brewed beers?

    Seems they contract brew out of at least a couple locations. See labels for Foolproof Brewing Company as well. Referencing this thread and the brewery discussed there here, can likely just list Providence RI as their address without a street address unless you are able to fine one. Here's an article discussing them where it mentions Providence, RI if any question on that.

    When I added City-State, they didn't have a phone number on the website, so I couldn't add them, and when I contacted them about it, they said that they didn't want to be added to any beer review sites. They thought they were kinda bullshit, which they kinda are, but if all you're attracting is people in your neighborhood and have a limited distro, you're not going to be in business long. Let's face it, y'all ain't Hill Farmstead. Had to talk them into it and explain that DC has a lot of tourists, and beer geeks from out of town wouldn't know they existed if they weren't on BA or Untapped.

    ...whoever owns the beer's name (in this case, I assume it's Beaglepuss) is where you would list the beer, not who does the contract brewing of the beer...if there is no Beaglepuss place listed in BA, go ahead and add the place...

    ...I believe if there is no phone number, you can game BA the system by putting in (000) 000-0000 for US locations...

    Thanks for the suggestions! I'm not really comfortable fudging the address, zip code, and phone number (all required fields) just to get them in. As I look at their website, there's no real info there even though they've been around for 4 years - nothing for sale, no beers listed, etc. It does say "Coming Soon" - again, odd for a brewery that's been around 4 years. Perhaps the're re-formulating their products. Based on the 2 beers I had from them, that would be a really good idea.

    i thought you could just leave it blank? i thought you could also leave the address and zipcode blank but you need to fill out state and city. maybe it's just the Mod superpower?

    I just added them to the BA database. They seem to have enough recent activity on Untappd that they look like an active brand/brewery.

    And it's also correct that beers should always be added to the brand/entity that owns the brands, not the brewery that does the contract brewing.
