Happy Tuesday to all of our fine beer loving friends! Perhaps someone will suggest a theme for today's libations. I"m just happy to have more new beers to try. So here is Athamé Petite Saison from Holy Mountain, one of Seattle's higher-rated breweries.

Big foam-up in the Stella Artois goblet. Eventually settles to a pale almost greenish gold, slightly hazy. Aroma of hay and alfalfa with a touch of strawberry. For the modest alcohol and body this is quite pleasant. There is an interesting tangy-fruity taste to start, like berries and straw. Scratchy finish but little Belgian character. This is not a bad idea, to try more of these "Petite Saisons" to see what can be done with more flavor and less alcohol. This one does NOT have more flavor, but it's quite interesting and quaffable.

Another early morning cellar pull, this one turning out better than my August 2024 experience with the same vintage. This the oldest Revolution can (canned October 10, 2018) I've ever experienced.

    aka Very Special Old Jacket

Full cellar review linked here. Bottom line, this is more mellow and flavor slurred after several years than a fresh or even a few year old selection, but no off flavors and more enjoyable than the same vintage and conditions (refrigerated since purchase) pulled in August 2024. Thank you Revolution!

Two from Donald Byrd, who is live now with this selection on WDCB.

Got the day off today, and I am having a new beer to me.
    Genesee Beer - Genesee Brewing - Rochester, NY - AAL - 4.5%

This beer would taste great on a hot summer day. Today sure as heck isn't while we wait for the next snowstorm to roll in. This beer has been discontinued from the local market, and I bought the last 12 pack in a locally owned liquor store.

From a 12oz can. My best guess is it was made on the 64th day of 2025, based on the marking on the bottom of the can.
This is a very pale colored looking beer when I am pouring it into the glass. There's a clear golden color to it in the glass. There's a steady stream of carbonation bubbles that rise in the glass to produce a 2 finger white colored head. The head retention is good, and There's a bit of lacing on the glass.
The nose is very faint. What little I get has a cereal/grain aroma to it.
There's a bit of skunk flavor to this beer that starts off the flavor profile. The grain flavor does kick in after that fades a bit. I get notes of cereal and a honey like sweetness to the beer flavor.
The body is light and bubbly. There's a crisp and clean feeling to it.
For what it is, this beer isn't bad at all. I can see this going down great on a hot summer day. This isn't a hot summer day at all, but it is still good.

I picked up this 12-pack because I like Pseudo Sue and I wanted some easy drinking beer to switch up my routine.

Pseudo Sue Nectaron Dry Hop from Toppling Goliath Brewing. 12 fl oz can, part of a mixed 12-pack, picked up at Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA, 10/11/25, $ 24.00 (including tax)/$0.167/fl oz. Reviewed 09/12/25, review 3653. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Final impression and summation: 3.75 Uncredited label art, same as the base beer. Another iteration of Pseudo Sue, but not as good.
    Rating 3.77, rDev -10.9%

Edit: Yesterday's report of Pseudo Sue Double Dry Hop was incorrect - the actual cost of the 12-pack was $24, not the $44+ posted. Mea culpa.

If it weren't for the wort up front, I would be hard pressed to tell you that this isn't a regular beer.

From a 16oz can. No date on the can.

Clear looking beer in the glass with a nice golden color. There's a 1 finger white head to the beer that has pretty good retention, and great lacing on the glass.
The aroma has a bit of wort to it, as would be expected with a N/A beer. I do get malty biscuit notes, and an earthy character to it.
Tons of wort hits my throat right away. This goes to a bit of a bitter lemon like flavor. There's an earthy and grassy element to the beer's profile. I mentioned the bitterness, and it does linger in my throat.
The body isn't light at all. It has a nice fullness and depth to it. The beer does coat my throat.
This beer is an amazing NA beer, and it has a great quality to it.

Well, the snow is about an hour away, and, thankfully, it looks like it will be all snow here, and no freezing rain. Crossing fingers. I hate freezing rain.
Enjoying this now. Seems fitting today.

Other than a significant snowfall, it's beautiful outside, out here in McGregor, and both Gracie and Sundae were abundantly curious about what today's three new beers would be like: First, with Gracie, it's my ninth brew from Bracebridge, Ontario's Muskoka Brewery--their 6% Single Hop IPA w/Galaxy Hops...

    ...and poured...

Final thoughts on beer for today in a moment! Cheers, from McGregor! =)

Next, my eleventh brew from Milton, Ontario's Third Moon Brewing Company, with Sundae--their 5.2% 2025 edition of their Over Us Pale Ale...

    ...and, poured...

Finally for today, also with Sundae, it's my second of Toronto, Ontario's Molson Coors Canada's handiworks--their 5.5% Carling Ice (this was 3.5/5, or 70%, for my palate and tastebuds)...

Tomorrow: Three more new beer reflections, from the following breweries:
    --Stieglbrauerei zu Salzburg (Salzburg, Austria; my fourth of their offerings);
--Town Brewery (Whitby, Ontario; my seventh); and
--Walkerville Brewery (Windsor, Ontario; my thirteenth)...

Have a great rest of your day, and cheers...from The Responsible Beer Drinking Club! =)
