    Nice pic Doug, and my condolences on the loss of Eddie.
    Back after some PT on my old hip and a little beer shopping excursion. Getting into the Cherries Jubilee Cask Finish. I have not bought BCB variants since 2022 but my grocery store had this on display for a perceived good price. Despite not being a huge cherries fan, the barrel team did a nice job with this. Same old BCBS warmth and nice layered flavors.

    29 months in a Lairds AB barrel. It's good, but I compare all AB stouts to the OG AB Noir, and this isn't on that level.

    1) Arbeiter HAHA Pils (5.1%): A German Pilsner from Minnesota with flavors of lemon citrus, floral notes, and pale Munich malt. Bitter, floral, and clean.
    versus
    2) Fair State Black Pils (4.9%): A German Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark grains, bittersweet cocoa and earthy notes. Bitter and roasted. (Correctly matched the two blind)

    German Pils versus Black German Pils Battle. First is Arbeiter with one of the best Germans Pils. Enjoyed a lot of these over the summer and this is my last one. Next is Fair State Black Pils. Great dark malt flavors with a bit of roast. Both equally bitter. Arbeiter HAHA Pils slight preference here.
    Winner: Arbeiter HAHA Pils
