When I spent a week in Helsinki, Finland, and had to survive on 100 Euros after an epic first night, I only purchased a coffee mug for my mom, bread, and Lapin Kulta. It was the greatest adventure of my life. I have an emotional attachment to that beer, unlike any other beer. You have started my day with a sense of joy and hope. Kippis!

Finally through the holidays. We visited family in Florida over Christmas. and our son came to our house for the New Year. Now we're back to two humans and four canines.
I'm finishing off the last of my Christmas beers.

 

This one is intense.

Today's New Breakfast Beer, however, broke nothing but my heart:



Toasted Coconut Vietnamese Coffee (2025) from Alesmith Brewing. Four-pack of 16 fl oz cans from Alesmith on-line, ordered 20/12/25, received 30/12/25. $ 8.17/can (including shipping) ($ 0.511/fl oz). Reviewed 03/01/26, review 3665.
Final impression and summation: 4 Uncredited label art. Decent stout but doesn’t live up to my expectations – both coffee and coconut seem weak and ghostly, hardly worth writing on the label. My few experiences with Speedway stouts have previously all been good, making it a desirable purchase. I will keep buying them whenever I can find them.
