Mexican lagers are the ones I have trouble with styling when adding the beer. There is not a "Mexican Lager" style so most of the time American Adjunct.
I have trouble drinking them! Some do claim to be a Vienna Lager and some of the craft products seem to robust enough to call American Lager, but if they brag about the corn I call it AAL too. Thanks for your current spree of adding new brews!
Too easy for the marketing team. Could be a 1 across the board, but they could still claim triple A rated.
"A" is Letter #1 , eh? I've found better descriptions & detail on their Instagram posts , most of the time. That's where they find their audience, and actually sell it, more often than not. Btw, Hi @heymikew - Mike W
@LeRose andddd...... just went to add one https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/45871/792026/ , and the only info was on their Instagram, & discovered other beers not added yet. [& I want them too -Mission Accomplished ]
I'm not to savvy with the social media stuff, so I don't think to look in other places. I have noticed some breweries have direct links to UnTappd and sometimes there's descriptions there. I know a lot of beers I'm adding are retired. Wish there was a way to tag those when we enter them.
Yeah I forgot UnTappd til just after that post. Ended up adding 10 or 11 more from Aurora , & 3 or 4 only had the abv on UnTappd. Had one window on BA, one for Instagram, one For UnTappd.
Progress updates? A couple days ago I added a beer with the url assigned # of 792002. Maybe we'll be at 800,000 by the end of the month?
Added a new brewery. https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/72027/ They've recently put their current tap list online , and also put up an archive page, making it easier. Fyi, if you're in the area, I'd highly recommend it. They know their sh*+ , & it shows in the beer. I've put in the current 9 beers, & will now work on the archive, + some from a menu I saved last fall. {Just found it in a seldom-used pocket in my car} [Disclaimer, they are friends of a long-time customer/friendly competitor, and have become my customers too. {See "my" trees at the brewery. } ]
Not even close. Update: Official count as of this post is 760,278 beers with 20,762 (not too shabby) added so far this year. We might be able to hit 800,000 by the end of the year, but that would require a significant push once we're in a place to handle it as well as everyone being more diligent when adding new beers. Remember: the beer ID is just an incremental number. It doesn't reflect deletions, which occur on a daily basis.
