We experimented with the new Dolcita (FKA experimentalHBC-1019) hop and made a new Fresh to Death variant. WOW. WE ARE SOLD. This is a straight up fruit basket hop. Melon, stone fruit, tropical, coconut. It’s all there and it is absolute fire.

Canned 2/6/26. Let sit out 15 minutes before opening.
Hazy yellow - looks like pineapple juice - with two fingers of creamy white head.
Smell is light pineapple , juice orange, slight nectarine and creaminess, and a very pronounced fresh guava aroma.
Slight peach pit and green onion also present from the open can.
Taste is half-intensity pineapple creamsicle, a bit of orange starting to ferment, and a lot of fresh guava. Drier than the aroma. High-medium bitterness that comes in late and lingers.
Feel is medium, juicy, with moderate, moderately-abrasive carbonation tingle/prickle.
Overall, just fantastic. Hard to believe it's just hops, no fresh guava. Liking this new Dolcita hop. The empty can from the first of these, two nights ago, is still sitting here. I haven't forgotten it - it still smells wonderful. I could have that strapped to my face all day. :)
