To your point, the two accounts that are legitimate users of this site have it a 4.02 and 4.5.

Respectable enough, for sure, but far from an elite ipa

After reviewing the brewery's reply and user accounts, this is clearly an attempt to inflate reviews for the beer. As such, I've cleaned all of this up, including to recent ratings from members who were trying to offset this (not cool either). The beer's ranking will also be adjust during the next daily updated.

Thanks to everyone who reached out here, privately, and to the mod team for discussing this over the last few days.

    Carry on chasing...

Kind of crazy. I just gave a Hudson Valley sour a nuclear level score the other day, they don't need to bot. Sounds like something weird going on bc they're great and people already know that.

Just to clarify, the brewery in question is not Hudson Valley Brewery. It is a brewery located in the Hudson Valley region.

I barely, or don’t at all, recognize most beers on there but this reminded me to complete the top 100 (yes it was only a 100 back then) that I started in like 2012. Only Pliny the Younger left and I’ve been on 99 since Dec 2021, so no real excuse at this point as PtY has to be super easy to obtain these days. Maybe this next release will be the one I get. does it still come out once a year in Feb?

The official release takes place at the brewery in March. That's the only time and place you can obtain bottles, if that's what you have in mind. However, RR still makes an earlier large batch in January that is distributed in kegs in late January and early February. At that time you can find it on draft around California, Oregon, Washington, and select areas of Nevada, Colorado, PA and Maine.

I wouldn't call it super easy to obtain, but with a bit of effort, you shouldn't have any problem.

I agree Treehouse is over represented in the top 250, though they make some good beer

    Agreed
I’d love to get ahold of some of those at the top - but it seems impossible

They bottle it but it's only available at the source for a few weeks in March/April.

I think it’s been maybe 5 years or so but Hill Farmstead is finally re-releasing another batch of Flora Plum. #67 on the Top 250 list.

    From their website:

    Flora: Plum

Flora is the wine barrel-aged version of Florence (1915-1967), Edward’s sister, as well as the name of our wheat Farmstead® ale. On occasion, a portion of Flora is selected to age on a blend of local plum varieties as a means of highlighting the sympathetic natures of beer in barrel and fruit in season. This edition features seven varieties of plums cultivated and harvested at Elmore Roots in nearby Elmore, Vt.
