'06 Dark Lord, Drink Now or Later?

    I was at a buddy's place for dinner last night and he surprised me with a 2006 DL. I've never had DL of any year or variety. I'd assume this is a little past its prime, is that correct? Has any one had an '06 recently?

    I had a 2007 about a year ago. It was really disappointing. I wouldn't even bother opening the 2006. Trade it to someone who is looking to complete a vertical.

    Drink it! 06 is not at all past "it's prime"

    It didnt go bad, it's just not very good to begin with.

    I take it you're saying the 2007 was a bad vintage and that the 2006 should not be compared?

    I would say that is true but I'm also saying that DL just isnt very good IMO
