Anyone done this? Any glassware suggestions? Any observations you made that you're curious I might make?

I'm about the embark upon this journey tonight with a buddy. It's never a bummer to take beers out of the cellar for an occasion like this!

Let us know how it goes. I'm curious. I loved '14, but never had '07

    I'd say snifter.

As am I. And if you feel like posting in the March Cellar Reviews thread, I am sure the folks there would appreciate it too.

Will do. At 18% I'm glad there are four of us.

I had an '06 D'extra about a month ago, was wishing I had a fresher one to compare to. It will be interesting to read how this plays out.

I compared the two on two separate nights over a weekend. The '07 was very enjoyable. '14 was less enjoyable. Oxidation is in the palate of the beholder. Have fun!

I had both recently, I personally enjoyed it fresher. Take this with a grain of salt however because I am not a fan of aged 120 minute either. The 07 was very sweet and grape forward, better than when I last had it in 2010.
