    I saw an 09 Serpent Stout the other day hiding in the shelves at a local store. Im wondering if anybody's had the same vintage lately and how its comming along?

    Had this one a couple months back and thought it was really quite good. If it's not too pricey then I'd suggest giving it a shot.

    I had a bad experience with the 09 a few months back. My soon to be wife thought she would be nice and bring me home a small present she got me while traveling for work. Well i was so excited i opened it up right then and there. FLAT and tasted like batteries.

    (not sure exactly what batteries taste like but that it the closest thing i could think of)

    Thanks for the responses. I ended up getting it and will drink pretty soon. I had an 09 a little over a year ago and thought it was great, wanted to see how its come along

    Pls report back. I have 3 of these in my cellar, and want desperately to know if I can move them to the fridge!!

    I opened an 09 this past Christmas with a friend. It was OK - nothing spectacular, not terrible. My friend had a very, very slimy slug in the bottom of his glass (sucker!), as a special treat.

    I tried a 2009 bottle a few weekends ago and did not like it as much as what I tried from a fresh bottle from the most recent release.
