May 11, 2015 (Bend, Oregon) – Colorado! You may not have heard of 10 Barrel Brewing just yet, but we’re headed your way. Bend, Oregon-based 10 Barrel Brewing is expanding distribution to Colorado this May to offer year-round and limited release beers on tap and in retail. Colorado is our fourth state for distribution.

“We are excited to now be able to offer our beers to everyone in Colorado,” said Jeremy Cox, co-founding partner of 10 Barrel. “Colorado is a beer-savvy state and we look forward to becoming a part of the craft community here. We sent our crew to visit Denver last month and learned that few Denverites know much about 10 Barrel. We plan to change that and will be hosting a variety of events across Denver throughout the year.”

Beers that will be available on tap and in retail:
    • Apocalypse IPA: This West Coast style IPA is our flagship beer. We can talk about IPAs and hops all day but you better just give it a run for yourself (IBU’s: 70; ABV: 6.8%).
    • Joe IPA: This IPA was formerly known as Sam after its hops: Simcoe, Amarillo and Mosaic, but we were told this might be a trademark issue with a large craft brewery out of the Northeast, so we had to change it. We cycled through a bunch of generic names – Bob, Tom, Dick, Dan, Carl, Frank – until we arrived on the perfect name for this IPA … Joe (IBU’s: 70; ABV: 6.9%).
    • Cucumber Crush: Our brewer Tonya Cornett got fresh with her award winning Berliner Weisse and added loads of cucumber. The aroma is undeniably cucumber and it’s the perfectly crushable summer beer. On tap only (IBU’s: 17; ABV: 4%).
    • DUB: Hops, hops and more hops. Our double IPA will blow your taste buds away. With nearly 10 pounds of Simcoe, Chinook and Magnum hops per barrel, this is absolutely not for someone looking for a balanced beer. Seriously, if you don’t like hops, this beer might ruin your day (IBU’s: off the charts; ABV: 9.8%).
    • Swill: You might be asking yourself, what is an American radler? Well let me tell you... it is the perfect blend of American sour and multiple layers of citrus. The ultimate summer crusher. Coming soon.

Well, I'm fairly certain we all know how this came to pass. Never had anything from them before, so I guess I'll give 'em a try if the price is right.

I saw them around town last week... Funny enough they were in two large warehouse type beer stores that sold a lot of AB-Inbev stuff, but not in the smaller more craft oriented stores

We had some 10 Barrel in town last year around GABF and although it was good, it wasn't super impressive or anything. I did like the Cucumber Crush, but not something I would drink all the time, and the IPAs are going to have a hard time competing with the likes of Odell, Firestone, Ballast Point, Alpine, etc...especially with the AB albatross around their neck!

Get your IPAs here really fresh and at a good price and I'll give them a whirl. Get them here old or with some ridiculous pricing and I'll pass. I'm a freshness snob and we have too many good options to drink old IPAs.

Do they bottle date? Not seeing a listing for them on Fresh Beer Only and perusing reviews I'm not seeing anyone mention dates. No bottle date on hoppy beers = no buy.

Depends on when AB-InBev gets them to CO and to the stores  Frankly, their service has sucked lately (since, oh...I dunno...2009)

Had some of their stuff at their brewpub in Boise a couple summers ago. They were tasty enough

Our Bud guy is pretty good. Coors is getting redonkulous, trying to force every store into a small warehouse. I haven't heard anything about 10 Barrel yet, though. I think it took Goose Island some time to get here and only sporadically at first

Sorry to be "that guy", but where are you a buyer? I just see you everywhere on here and figured I would ask

Tried the Joe last night. It was pretty good. I know it's fresh now, but with no bottle dates I won't be able to confirm that a month or so from now, so I'm unlikely to continue buying

Yo 10 Barrel, use some of that Inbev money to buy a bottle dating machine

Grapes and Grains, yo! Probably won't be there (much) after the summer, with the beer mediation thing going.
