Overcarbonation may be going on in your beer cellar.

"If you have bottles of Swill in your fridge at home, the brewery advises donning protective gloves and eyewear, then putting the bottles in a closed box and placing that box in a trash can outside. Presumably, the protective steps are to avoid the risk of the carbonation raising the pressure in the bottles and shattering them.

Woudn't they still be fine to drink if the carb hasn't reached semi-dangerous levels yet?

I would certainly not just toss it all out without 'attempting' to open at least one. I'm an American Man dammit!

I knew it as I opened one and it was an out of control gusher. I emailed them about it trying to find out if it was an off bottle or symptomatic of a larger problem. Of course I didn't hear back from them but that's ok. It was actually not half bad after the half hour pour.
