    did you buy a particular beer for your hundredth beer since you started rating beers on BA? what was it? if you hadn't, thinking back now is there a beer you think would be appropriate or else are saving for your hundredth? i personally am contemplating something from the bruery or founders, which i don't usually buy because they are very expensive by me.

    I went with Ayinger Celebrator for my 100th. I always try to do something more expensive than normal for milestones. Last month, #250 was Jester King Commercial Suicide, my first sour.

    it's funny you say that because i was thinking one of the GI belgian style ales and i eyed sofie but i'm jewish and it wasn't kosher, i've had matilda, maybe i'll consider lollita.

    I've learned not to view these "landmarks" as anything too special as it might have an impact on the review itself because no one wants to be like, REVIEW 100, btw the beer sucked. I've had a mix of "elite" beers and shelf beers on my "milestone" numbers and I like to make a note of which I had, but the choice of selection came down to timing, rather than forethought.

    Meh, I review beers that I drink; I don't drink beers just to review them. The special stuff I've had has been for celebrating events in my life, not review counts.

    In a similar position as the OP as I'm about to hit a significant milestone as well (300). I do find it worth seeking out something a little special for these review milestones, just to add to the sense of occasion. I wasn't sure what I'd be in the mood for so picked up a few options specially: Rodenbach Vintage 2010, Double Barrel Jesus and BBA Imperial Biscotti Break. It could also be the Sucaba 2014 or Fremont Bourbon Abominable that I have in my cellar. So yes, OP, grab a nice bottle, sit back and relax, and treat yourself.

    Mine was Dundee Pale Bock Lager. It just happened to be the beer I was drinking, wasn't saving anything for the occasion. Good thing because I did not like it very well. #200 was Evil Twin Lil B, it was much better, although still not great. Coming up on #300, might have to get something special.

    Mine was SA Cherry Wheat. I gave it a 2.75. I would not have picked that for #100, given a mulligan, but oh well.

    Looking at my Untappd badges:

    1 = Sam Adams Octoberfest
    100 = Rochefort 10
    500 = Abyss
    1000 = Bourbon County Barleywine (best beer ever!)

    i'm in NY, and distribution in my area sucks, so i'm a lot more limited as to what to try, i saw a beer that was a collaboration between russian river and Sierra nevada, but i looked away after i saw the price, maybe i'll reconsider and get that.
