I remember my 100th rating. I decided to satire the moment with a Heineken Premium Light.

    According to Untappd...

100: Budweiser Project Twelve Batch 63118
    200: DFH Indian Brown Ale
500: Dark Horse (Elevator Brewing Co.)
    1,000: Steel Wheels ESB

So no, I guess I don't reserve specific beers for ticking occasions.

I don't remember what my 100th beer was, but I did make sure that the beer rating that got me to 1000 beer karma was a special one, and it happened to be Zombie Dust.

Don't do many full reviews, but I knew I was coming up on 1000 on Untappd and saved my first Parabola for that. Also liked how I leveled up my Belgian Holiday badge on Westy 12. It's all silly digital BS but it's fun nonetheless. Drink what you like, when you like!

I'm debating between Abt12, Palate Wrecker, Steel Reserve and Dark Fatha for 100, when I get there. It won't be for a while, yet.

Can't remember my 100th... I do remember my 1000th though and that was 09' Utopias. 2000th got lots in the mix of transferring my reviews over to here from an alternate source... 3000th was a vintage bottle of Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock. I should start thinking about my 4000th since I'm less than 200 away from it.

humm my 100 different beer? I never really count them.
I have no idea what the count is. I know I used to try every import I could find way back before 1976.....its in a notebook stack in my desk, but its just tasting notes, I was not ticking or counting... of course BA was not possible then.

The few times I use untappd. I think I am only at 60 beer's on there. So not into drinking and counting much, of course sometimes twitter is fun drunk, lol. But of course I always have known to be on the net its best to be anonymous. but folks now days do not get that....its like they are bragging and what a record of their personal lives on a medium that remembers everything, stupid......lol:stuck_out_tongue:

I was originally trying to plan on doing something special for 100, but circumstances interceded and it turned out to be a Sam Adams Boston Lager, which I actually thought was pretty cool since that was the beer that got me "interested" in beer in the first place. I don't see myself planning anything special in the future.

I've got the big 1-0-0 coming up too. I'll probably do BCBS or Uncle Jacob's. Decisions, decisions...

I've got you beat...a warm Miller Lite when I was about 15 years old...my best friend and I sneaked it from his Dad's stack in the garage. Terrible! I can honestly say that I didn't have another beer until I was about 22 or 23 years old because of it. Glad I found what good beer tastes like!

So today I finally came across a Pliny the Elder. It wasn't a beer I'd been actively seeking out, I had always just assumed it would come around eventually. And it did. Upon realizing it would be on its way soon, I began to realize that if I planned carefully, I could make this my 100th beer on the top 250 list. I hit #99 with Ephraim at about 3:00 today, and then took a nap because I'd had several beers to drink. Knowing that tomorrow I would have several more beers on the list (Fuzzy Baby Ducks among others), I grabbed Pliny around 11:00pm, and opened it up, ensuring it would be #100. At that point I went to the top 250 list to rate it, and noticed that one of the beers I'd rated had dropped off the list. The Pliny I had carefully planned to be #100 on the list, ended up being #99.

I guess Fuzzy Baby Ducks is a good #100 too, but still. I wanted Pliny to be #100.

I feel a bit like Barney Stinson now.
