Hi everyone! I'm trying a smash experiment based on what I have.

    10lb Marris
    1oz Citra at 14% AA

Going for an easy going session.

What would you suggest? I was thinking

    .5 @ 60
    .25 @10
    .25@ 0

Hey there Mongonk. Welcome to Beer Advocate!

A SMaSH brew is a good way to get a sense for how those ingredients taste/feel, without being muddled by similar ingredients.
It depends on what you're looking for in an "easy going session". Several things will impact flavor, ABV, and mouthfeel; yeast, mash schedule, volume in the fermentor, etc.....so, can you give a little more info on your recipe and process?

I personally don't see Maris Otter and Citra as a match made in heaven but maybe that's just me. Do you have other hop options?

I'll be doing Brew in a bag and mashing at 150. I did a Marris IPA smash last year and it was awesome!

US04 or US05 is what I have. Not going for stylalistic purity at all. Just a good drinking beer with moderate bitterness and lower on hop aroma.

IMO your recipe will achieve this goal.

    Cheers!

I think I'd go .25 bittering and split the rest at taste and aroma additions to allow the best attributes of the citra to shine.

    It's a fine mix. Use 05 and .5 at 60 and .5 at flameout.will taste great.
