Hey today is 11 Below's 1st anniversary. They are open 12 to 5 and I do believe they are serving up there barrel aged imperial stout anniversary beer. If you are in Houston you should check them out.
Had a great time today and enjoyed a few glasses of the Big Mistake. Delicious....like Negative Space on roids. Thanks Jeff for the great hospitality. Keenan...that is a damn fine beer!

Well that doesn't bother me....they are only a 5 minute drive away.....probably a good thing they are not open everyday.
Big mistake will see some of their best accounts with kegs and they will randomly put in on tap from time to time at the brewery. Completely different recipe for Big Mistake and for Negative Space. They are not the same beer at all. Negative Space has been put into the barrels and I imagine we'll see that beer emerge as part of their 11/11 party this upcoming fall.
Oh I know.....I just love Negative Space....so this one was like Negative Space on Roids for me....even bigger and better. I do understand that they are different. I should have been more clear....it was the way I enjoy them not necessarily the recipe. Now I have something more to look forward to .....11/11.
Big Mistake was a great beer, they did a really good job with that. They're doing a really good job with their canning line as well. I wish them the best with their future growth. I will try to always have them in my fridge.
I wanted the Pad Thai....but I went with the Pork Belly Fried Rice and of course 3 glasses of Big Mistake!!
Ok since this thread has gone to the food side, the brussel sprouts were the bomb. I actually got another order and took them home to my wife and daughter.
They also had a cask of Oso Bueno with coconut which i thought was great! And of Course the big mistake was really good, well done.
Yeah the Oso Coconut was definitely a huge surprise from what I thought it would be, to what it actually was
I need to make it up there but it is so far away from the south side..... just checked google... 56ish miles from my house.
Every time I have been it is mad packed, they have a great following and a great bunch of guys running the joint. Check their twitter/homepage and maybe you can find when they are doing a tap takeover on the south part of town and you can meet them.
They also had a cask of Negative Space with vanilla that was delicious. And the brisket egg rolls from Wokker are the great!
