I picked up a bottle this year for $10 at a reputable bottle shop locally in Chicago. Then a few weeks later I saw Walgreens had bottles at $20 a piece, which raised a laugh.

Ive seen it for anywhere from 7.99 to 11.99 in mass. I for one will not spend over 10. Especially since i dont find enjoyment in it fresh and it cost to occupy space in my cellar for a year or 2 or 6

Some people think that stores make a killing on it and they really don't. I have a close friend that owns a small liquor store in a hick town. He has a small craft selection, but carries great stuff considering the area. I'm his biggest customer and I don't even live in the same state. He told me he only bought 120 minute so he could share it with friends and he figured me and a couple other people would want one or two. He said he literally paid $242 for a case. That averages to a little over $10 a beer. He sold it for $10.50 a bottle. I asked why he didn't mark it up more and he said he would rather it move instead of sit on the shelf and plus, selling expensive beer isn't how he makes his money. He'll make his money selling plenty other things.

That's gotta (at least partially) be due to the distributors and/or taxes in TN. I can drive into PA (where beer is usually sold by the case) and get a case of 120 for $206.00 + tax. Not sure what that place is paying for their cases, but it clearly isn't anywhere near $242.

That store is in Kentucky. Only about an hour from me. I thought maybe since he didn't move a lot of beer, he didn't get the best pricing. Also, you're right. Taxes would suck.

In my area(Md Eastern Shore and lower Delaware) it has been 8.99 or 9.99 a bottle for the last 3 or 4 years. I went to one of my usual stores and now it's priced at 12.99 a bottle(bottled 1-6-2015). I asked about the price and was told the increase was correct. A 30% jump is little steep. Has anyone else seen this much of a price jump? I only buy a couple of bottles a year, so I'll probably pay it, but I think that is a ridiculous increase.

My local store has not received any of the latest batch yet. Will be interesting to see what the pricing is. That's a pretty ridiculous increase if you ask me

The one time I purchased it a couple years back it was $10. The most recent couple of times I've seen it this past year, it's been no cheaper than $12.99 per 12oz bottle.

World Wide Stout typically cost the same at 120 minute - 10 dollars. I could never justify buying it for myself but then a friend and I split the cost so it's a win-win.

    Since I live in California...
I usually have to buy out of state and have it shipped (approx $40) which
makes my price about $100 per six pack. :slight_frown:
